AIESEC Eastern Mediterranean, Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) representative attended the first AIESEC Turkey National Congress of the year, the most important event of AIESEC Turkey, which is open to all members in Turkey. The Congress has been held in Antalya under the organization of AIESEC Istanbul Branch and AIESEC Turkey Headquarters.
During the congress, which could not be held physically for 2 consecutive years due to the worldwide effects of the Covid-19 pandemic, 19 AIESEC Turkey branches and more than 700 participants came together for the youth of AIESEC Turkey to both improve themselves and contribute to the country they live in. In the congress, a considerable amount of training has been provided in order to make the cities and regions where the young people live, more beautiful and livable places through the projects carried out and with the contributions of the volunteers from abroad, and to create an environment of peace and enable them to reach the peak of their individual potential. In scope of the congress, recommendations have been made to the young people through the presentations made by the AIESEC Turkey partners, and experiences have been shared through group talks on certain topics.
Having been established in 1992 with the great support of the President Rauf Raif Denktaş and Eastern Mediterranean University AIESEC Eastern Mediterranean participated in this beautiful event which lasted for 3 days. AIESEC Eastern Mediterranean 2022-2023 Term President Muzaffer Alper Gürsoy and his team have reiterated their belief in a sustainable world, intercultural cooperation and youth by opening their arms to an international organization like AIESEC for 30 years and thanked them for this meaningful support. AIESEC Eastern Mediterranean attended every session throughout the conference and participated in all workshops. AIESEC Eastern Mediterranean, equipped with all necessary motivation and ideas to be involved in bigger projects with new information, aims to provide social responsibility projects to as many young people as possible from abroad, to find internship opportunities in various companies and to support the labourforce of the Northern Cyprus and promote the country abroad.
