Nursing Master's Program (Turkish with Thesis) (M.S., 1 - 2 Years)

Today, expectations of the community from nurses has changed and some expectations have given priority such as specialization on subject areas of nursing, effective, comprehensive and patient centered care, access to knowledge and information management, using advanced technology effectively, using evidence-based research results, applying cost effective treatments. Taking into consideration the fundamental expectations of the society, Department of Nursing gives master’s degree education in Turkish language for nurses who want to develop professional qualifications.

The purpose of the nursing master’s degree program is to train nurses as scientific specialist nurses who can contribute to fields of service, education and research with their qualifications, understanding the basic philosophy of nursing, having professional nursing conscious, in the national and international levels, responsive to the community's health problems and able to access to scientific knowledge, having scientific research ability. The academic qualifications of nurses’ contributions to development of our country’s health and education systems are extremely important.

Admission Requirements

Candidates for admission to the M.S. in Nursing Program should have a B. S. degree in nursing.

Nursing graduate program admission requirements are as follows:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
  • The Turkish citizens should have an ALES score of a minimum of 55 received within last three years
  • Succeeded in written and / or oral exam or have at least 2.50/4.0 CGPA
  • The candidates must satisfy the requirements of the Institute of Graduate Studies and Research of the University

Nursing Profession, Nursing Education, Basic Concepts in Nursing, Basic Practices in Nursing, Evidence-Based Nursing, Surgical Nursing, Operating Room Nursing, Emergency and Critical Care Nursing, Wound and Stoma Care, Transcultural Nursing, Nursing History, Nursing Ethics, Patient Safety, Transplantation, Nursing Informatics.
