School Details

Courses offered by our school are based on the Private Law, Public Law and about professional skills such as typing. Tutors who teach these courses are usually from Law Faculty.

Undergraduate Program

School of Justice aims to graduate qualified professionals who

  • have been educated on basic law and justice services at various levels in different areas.
  • possess information that can be implemented
  • have a good command of Turkish, typing skills and legal terminology
  • are well-informed about the application of the judicial power
  • have the ability to use the technology efficiently
  • are preferred in all law-related sectors (e.g., law firms, notary offices, banks, law departments at various institutions or the private sector) related with constitutional, judiciary, administrative, military, accounting, conflict and election law.

Facilities

Eastern Mediterranean University School of Justice is proud to present the students with modern classes, up-to-date computer labs, a student counseling center where students can receive advice in any subject regarding their status and a cafeteria serving the students and staff.

Students of the School of Justice are also given the privilege of benefitting from the Eastern Mediterranean University Library which is equipped with an array of books, magazines and databases related with their area of study. Students can also benefit from high quality computers available at the library.

Education

The primary aim of the School of Justice is to graduate qualified professionals who will serve as chief court reporters, court stenographers, court clerks and directors or officers of the debt enforcement offices, prisons and law enforcement units.

With this purpose, during the two year undergraduate program, our students receive training on basic law, computer practices and office management techniques. As soon as they step into the professional world, our graduates find employment opportunities and receive instant promotion as a result of our intensive computer and foreign language courses.

General Information about the Program

EMU School of Justice program, which highly corresponds with the other Schools of Justice in Turkey in terms of course content, provides instruction based on the ‘Turkish Law System’. At the same time, as well as various courses which will help in the professional practice, applied computer courses are offered to equip students with different skills in the professional arena. As the importance of English in today’s world is undeniable, EMU School of Justice provides its students with an intensive English program different from other Schools of Justice in Turkey. In this way, the School ensures the graduation of qualified and competitive professionals who will be part of our justice system.

Graduates and Career Opportunities

With the recent foundation of the district courts in Turkey, the demand for qualified professionals in justice services has increased. Apart from this, employees specialized in the area of justice are needed at the private and financial sectors, ministries operating under public administration, other public institutions and banks. Within this framework, our graduates will definitely be preferred both in public and private institutions. In all fields of justice, chief court reporters, court stenographers, court clerks and directors or officers of the debt enforcement offices, prisons and law enforcement units are the preferred areas of profession.
