The rankings traditionally published by the Turkish Mathematical Society supported TurkMath have been updated for 2014. The rankings were obtained from Thompson-Reuters’s Web of Science database by examining the Turkey addressed articles published between 1980 and 16.7.2014 and without discriminating between the Theoretical or Applied Mathematics.
Eastern Mediterranean University academic staff member and Chair of the Mathematics Department Prof.Dr. Nazım İ. Mahmudov has been ranked 11th among the Turkey addressed mathematicians with his 67 articles. Similarly, another Mathematics Department academic staff member Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Ali Özarslan has been ranked 13th with 56 published articles.
Regarding the University rankings, Eastern Mediterranean University has outpaced numerous prominent universities by being ranked 15th.
