Declared as the World Choral Day by IFCM (International Federation for Choral Music), ACDA (American Choral Directors Association) and UNESCO, 8 December World Choral Day is celebrated through concerts taking place at different places throughout the world.
On occasion of this day, Music Teaching Program of Fine Arts Education Department (EMU) is organizing a concert to take place on December 7, 2015 at the Cultural and Congress Center (RDDKK) at 8 p.m. A number of choirs including EMU Music Teaching Program Choir , Othello Poliphonic Choir, Ada Işığı Children Choir and EMU International Choir will have performances.
The concert will be under the conductorship of Erkan Dağlı, Rana Uluçay, and Macchew Okogea. The concert will feature pieces from world chorus literature along with Turkish and Cypriot folk songs.
