2022/1-1.

With reference to a meeting of the Communicable Diseases Supreme Committee dated 05.01.2022 regarding the revisal of the quarantine and isolation processes, it was unanimously decided that the quarantine and isolation process of the staff and students of our university be implemented as follows.

COVID-19 positive persons:

The isolation period is 7 days. At the end of the 7th day, patients are given a PCR test for control purposes. If the test result is positive, the quarantine period of the patients is terminated on the 14th day. PCR results performed prior to the completion of the isolation period will be deemed invalid.

Close contacts:

Fully vaccinated persons (2 doses for Janssen; 3 doses for other vaccines) who have come into contact with a COVID-19 positive person will continue their daily activities wearing a mask and monitoring possible symptoms. If people as such do not have any symptoms, they will have an antigen test on the 5th day; In the event of having symptoms, they will take antigen tests earlier than the 5th day.

Partially-vaccinated or unvaccinated people will remain isolated for 7 days and will take a PCR test at the end of the 7th day. If the result is negative, their isolation period will come to an end. If the test result is positive, the positive patient follow-up process will commence.
