Turkish Republic, Ministry of Family and Social Policies, Family and Community Services Department Chair Rahime Beder Şen and her team paid a visit to the TRNC to provide training for prospective trainers of domestic education upon the invitation of Maraş Solidarity and Cooperation Association.
A group of 17 trainer candidates formed by Eastern Mediterranean University academic staff and students received training on “Domestic Education Program” from Rahime Beder Şen and her team at Famagusta Municipality’s Development Academy. Following the training, participants took a test on the said area. At the end of the training, successful participants received certificates.
During their stay in the TRNC, Rahime Beder Şen and her team paid a visit of courtesy to EMU Rector Prof. Dr. Necdet Osam. The visiting group provided information about training activities they were involved in Turkey and the TRNC. Stating their aim as bringing up citizens providing solutions for their own problems as well as ensuring that happy families are formed, Şen added that they develop training programs considering regional needs.
Stating the university’s readiness in supporting the visiting team in line with their recommendations, Prof. Dr. Osam added that social balance should be ensured within Karpaz Region in the TRNC. At the end of the visit at which Public Relations and Press Office Acting Director Murat Aktuğralı was also present, Prof. Dr. Osam presented the guests Lefkara lace handicrafts to mark their visit to EMU.
