Master Artists Give a Concert at EMU Department of Fine Arts Education

The “Trio Bellapaix” chamber music group, formed by Cypriot artists Nihat Ağdaç (Violin), Gürhan Nuray (Cello) and Rüya Taner (Piano) by combining the soloistic capacities of their instruments with their career accumulation and experience, gave a concert at EMU Education Faculty, Fine Arts Education Department Choir Hall at 12:30 on Friday, 17 December 2021. The group, which started their practices in 2021, met with EMU faculty members and students with a chamber music concert given in the department where artistic activities could not be held for a long time due to the pandemic. The artists performed the works of C. Schumann and A. Piazzolla at the concert. In addition to being an artistic event in terms of serving the university and the society, the concert was also important in terms of increasing the career behaviour and knowledge of the Music Teaching Program students through watching professional performes live on stage.

EMU Vice Rector for Social and Cultural Affairs Prof. Dr. Deniz İşçioğlu, Dean of the Faculty of Education Prof. Dr. Ahmet Pehlivan, faculty members and students watched the concert with great admiration. Delivering a short speech before the concert, EMU Education Faculty Fine Arts Education Department Head Prof. S. Çetin Aydar stated that this concert is a harbinger of the concerts and events planned for the coming period. Nihat Ağdaç is the Chief Violinist of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) Presidential Symphony Orchestra, Gürhan Nuray is the Cellist of the Nicosia Municipality Orchestra and the TRNC Presidential Symphony Orchestra, and Rüya Taner is the Special Art Advisor to the Presidential Office of the TRNC.
