Famous Azerbaijani Advertiser in EMU Communication Faculty

Famous Azerbaijani advertiser Arzu Soltan delivered a workshop on advertising at Eastern Mediterranean University Communication Faculty. Organised by Genesis IMC Agency operating under EMU Communication Faculty, the workshop entitled “If It was Me, I Would Have Advertised This way” was participated by a large number of students.

At the beginning of the workshop, Soltan asked the students to change their places, sit next to a person unknown to them and tell each other about their prospective targets and ambitions. It was observed that some students were too embarrassed to talk about their future plans as they were not quite sure of what they are. As the second activity, Arzu Soltan asked everyone to get up, tell their names one by one and find an animal name starting with the second letter of their names. While doing this, students sometimes got confused and gave the previous person’s name and the relevant animal’s name. During the third activity, students were asked to form a circle and give a number from 1 to 41. Arzu Soltan gave a number and asked the student who earlier chose that number to come to the middle of the circle and, this time, to tell everyone two numbers. Two students who earlier chose those two numbers moved to two empty chairs in the circle. Arzu Soltan then asked the students whose numbers have not been called how it feels not to be remembered. Combining students’ responses with her own comments, Soltan stated that we should take extra care in benefiting from the opportunities that come to us.

At the end of the workshop, vice chair of Public Relations and Advertising Department Assist. Prof. Dr. Anıl Kemal Kaya presented a plaque of appreciation to Arzu Soltan
