In line with its mission of provision of community service and transformation of students’ work to public benefits, Eastern Mediterranean University Communication and Media Studies Faculty, Visual Arts and Visual Communication Design students designed institutional logos for Mustafa Hacıali Firm within the framework of the course entitled “Design Major- I”.
Logo recommendations designed by 38 students of Visual Arts and Visual Communication Design Department under the supervision of academic staff members Shahryar Mirza-Alikhani and Marjan Khajavi have been voted upon by 1000 staff members of the said firm and the winning logo was determined. An award ceremony took place at EMU Faculty of Communication and Media Studies, Department of Visual Arts and Visual Communication Design Exhibition Hall at 11:30 a.m. on 5 November 2015.
After receiving his award, fourth year student of the said department Arian Rajabi Shishvan expressed his happiness in designing the winning logo. Putting forth that he always has a desire to design different things, Arian stated that EMU is a university providing high quality study opportunities at international standards.
During the ceremony where chair of Visual Arts and Visual Communication Design Department Assoc. Prof. Dr. Senih Çavuşoğlu, academic staff members, Mustafa Hacıali Firm General Director Hüseyin Erkoru and firm architect Orhan Ergün were present, Arian received his award from Erkoru. All participating students and academic staff were also presented certificates of appreciation during the ceremony.
