The Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU), Social and Cultural Activities Directorate, Student Clubs Unit, organized the "Student Clubs Get Together" event at the EMU Beach Club on Thursday, 8 June, 2023, at 20:00. The President of the EMU Board of Trustees, Dr. Erdal Özcenk, member of Board of Trustees Kadir Yel, Vice Rector Responsible for Social and Cultural Affairs Prof. Dr. Deniz İşçioğlu, and the Head of Student Clubs Unit, Çiğdem Duvarcı, along with the instructors, advisors, and board members of 40 active student clubs, attended the said event.
Organized to honor the club presidents serving in the 2022-2023 academic year, board members at the graduate status, and club trainers, the event started with a special video screening prepared by EMU TV, summarizing the past year of the EMU Student Clubs. The opening speeches of the event were delivered by the President of the EMU Board of Trustees Dr. Erdal Özcenk and the Vice Rector for Social and Cultural Affairs Prof. Dr. Deniz İşçioğlu, wishing all participants a pleasant evening.
The evening offered enjoyable moments accompanied by DJ Beerd Boi. While the entertainment continued, gifts donated by the sponsors to the clubs were distributed with a draw. Students took pictures with message cards prepared specifically for the event throughout the night. At the end of the night, certificates were presented to the club presidents, club trainers, and the graduating board members of the clubs by Dr. Özcenk, Prof. Dr. İşçioğlu, Kadir Yel, and Duvarcı."
