Within the framework of community services, Eastern Mediterranean University Psychological Counseling, Guidance and Research Center (EMU – PDRAM) organised a training program entitled “Strongs Parents – Strong Children” for the parents of the students of the Famagusta Special Education Center.
Having taken place between 21 March and 11 April 2016, the said training aimed to support the healthy attitude formation in parents towards special children. The training provided information on domestic communication skills, healthy parental attitudes, and children’s rights. During the training, parents also shared their experiences with their children who possess different qualities than others. At the end of the organisation which was delivered by EMU – PDRAM Chair Prof. Dr. Biran Mertan and Psychologists Haşim Haşimoğulları and Güler Ataş, participants were presented certificates of attendance.
