EMU Faculty of Tourism’s Quality Confirmed by FIBAA Accreditation Once Again

Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) Tourism Faculty, Tourism and Hotel Management undergraduate program and Tourism Management Master's program have been unconditionally accredited for 7 years by the Foundation for International Business Administration Accreditation (FIBAA), one of the most distinguished accreditation institutions in the world.

EMU Tourism Faculty Dean Prof. Dr. Hasan Kılıç stated that they have been ranked 38th in the Field Rankings list of the World Universities Academic Ranking 2021 by China-based ShanghaiRanking and stated that it is extremely important to be accredited by FIBAA, the largest and most influential accreditation body worldwide.

Prof. Dr. Kılıç underlined that quality should be an outcome of continuous improvement philosophy and that the quality system should be established with the contributions of all stakeholders. Prof. Dr. Kılıç said, “The unconditional 7-year accreditation granted by FIBAA is an indication that the education, work, projects, practices, academic environment, quality assurance and quality improvement activities within the Faculty are the world-class quality standards.”

Prof. Dr. Kılıç underlined that with the said accreditation, EMU Tourism and Hotel Management undergraduate program and Tourism Management Master’s programs have once again been registered by FIBAA as programs providing world-class quality education. Prof. Dr. Kılıç emphasized that the said accreditation will continue to be a strong reference for students, parents and employers studying at or graduating from these programs in their careers and overseas studies.

Stating that FIBAA accreditation is among the international external evaluation and accreditation organizations also recognized by the Higher Education Quality Board (YÖKAK), Prof. Dr. Kılıç added that FIBAA is an international institution for quality assurance and quality improvement in higher education.
