EMU Awaiting New Students According to YKS Results

Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) is awaiting new students for 2023-2024 Academic Year according to the results of the Higher Education Institutions Exam (YKS). EMU, the most distinguished state university in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, is in the 501-600 band in Worlds Best Universities 2023 list according to the Times Higher Education (THE) rankings published in England, one of the most prestigious university rankings in the world. On the other hand, in accordance with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals carried out by THE, EMU is ranked as 1st in the island and 4th in Turkey. In the ranking of the best young universities that have started education in the world in the last 50 years for 2023, EMU maintained its strong rise and ranked 1st in the TRNC and across the Island of Cyprus.

%75 Scholarship for Preference

In line with the YKS results, students who will be placed in EMU with their first three preferences in the 2023-2024 Academic Year are provided with 75% preference scholarships, and students who will be placed with their fourth and fifth preferences are given 50% preference scholarship (except Dr. Fazıl Küçük Medicine Faculty, Faculty of Dentistry and Faculty of Pharmacy). Students who will be placed in Psychology Turkish-medium departments with their first three preferences will benefit from 50% preference scholarship. In addition, students who will register for EMU with their YKS results will also be able to benefit from the Credit and Dormitories Institution’s (KYK) dormitories located on the campus.

Joint Program Opportunity

EMU, a higher education institution that provides education at international standards with its diplomas and accreditations recognized all over the world, attaches great importance to international cooperation. In this context, the university offers study opportunities at a joint International medicine program between Dr. Fazıl Küçük Medicine Faculty and Marmara University Faculty of Medicine, and a joint dentistry program between the Republic of Turkey University of Health Sciences and EMU Faculty of Dentistry.
