Within the framework of the civic involvement projects, Eastern Mediterranean University, in collaboration with T&T Airport, set up a Christmas tree made up of books at Ercan Airport.
The project has been brought to life with the purpose of raising awareness regarding the decreasing importance of reading books. The said tree was formed by 500 books made available by EMU Özay Oral Library. A slogan of #NewYearBookYear was also placed next to the tree to raise awareness about the project through social media.
In addition to the said project, books will be distributed to children at Ercan Airport as part of the collaboration of EMU ve T&T Airport. As the final step of the project, books used for the Christmas tree will be donated to organisations in need by EMU.
