Within the scope of the event organized by the Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) Social and Cultural Activities Directorate, the theater play “Maids in Quote” was staged at the EMU Activity Hall. EMU Vice Rector for Student Affairs Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Aktuğlu also attended the event.
Addressing audiences aged 12 and over and based on Jean Genet's “Maids” text, the play ‘Maids in Quote’, written and directed by Hakan Emre Ünal, starring Nezaket Erden and Pınar Güntürkün, and with Ayşe Draz as the dramaturgist, is about two maids in a house. While these two women continue to play a game in which they end up not knowing who they are, they are forced to confront themselves that they wish to ignore.
The play, which lasted for 85 minutes in one act, gave the audience a wonderful night. At the end of the game, Prof. Dr. Aktuğlu presented a plaque of appreciation to the theater team.
