Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) Communication and Media Studies Faculty, Public Relations and Advertising Department held a certificate ceremony for students that were successful during the 2018-2019 Spring Semester.
The certificate ceremony, which is organized with a different concept every year, was organized by the students of the Press and Media Relations course given by Sami Özuslu, with the ‘New Year’ concept. In this context, the project team set out with the slogan ‘This is My Year’, and stated that they wish this year to be a special year both for graduating and continuing students alike.
The Ceremony on Friday, December 27, 2019, held at the EMU Faculty of Communication, room FCMS 011, began with a live guitar performance, performed by the students. After the enjoyable performance, Firdevs Zorali and Erhan Dalbun made speeches on behalf of the students who were successful in the Turkish Program of Public Relations and Advertising Department. Students expressed their gratitude to the academicians of EMU Public Relations and Advertising Department and stated they were proud to be a part of the Department of Public Relations and Advertising and EMU.
Attending the ceremony were Faculty of Communication and Media Studies Dean Assoc. Prof. Dr. Agah Gümüş, Vice Dean Assoc. Prof. Dr. Metin Ersoy, Head of Public Relations and Advertising Department Assoc. Prof. Dr. Anıl Kemal Kaya and Vice Head Assist. Prof. Dr. Umut Ayman, as well as many other academicians and students. The Turkish and English medium programs had in total 107 students that received honour and high honour certificates. As well as the certificates, successful students were also gifted a ‘Seeded Pen’ by Head and Vice Head of Public Relations and Advertising Department Assoc. Prof. Dr Kemal Kaya and Assist. Prof. Dr. Ayman. With this gift, the seeds that will remain after the pens use is a message for a greener world.
After the certificate ceremony, a cocktail was organised at the faculty, that was enjoyed by the teaching staff and students alike, closed with a group photo.
