Eastern Mediterranean University, Community Involvement Center has introduced another meaningful civic involvement project. Within the framework of the course entitled “Campaign” delivered by EMU Communication and Media Studies Faculty, Public Relations and Advertising Department Chair Assoc. Prof. Dr. Anıl Kemal Kaya, students named Batuhan Gürarslan, Mustafa Yiğit, Erşen Amcaoğlu, Enver Gilanlıoğlu and Kürşad Cengiz organised a comprehensive social responsibility project in the form of a astro turf tournament. Funds raised from the said tournament have been donated to Nicosia Çağlayan Children’s Home.
7 teams participated in the tournament which took place in EMU during the previous week. During the two-day tournament, participating students both lived the excitement of taking part in matches and raising funds for the said organisation.
Students who took part in the project expressed their pleasure and pride in organising a meaningful activity bringing together individuals from different cultures.
