Job Application Process Training in EMU Business and Economics Faculty

The Career Office operating under the Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) Business and Economics Faculty Dean’s Office provided “Curriculum Vitae, Cover Letter and Job Interview” training for undergraduate students. Within the scope of the training session that took place in BEA-5 Meeting Hall, the students received training on the first steps to be taken into their careers during the employment application processes. The training was delivered by EMU Business and Economics Faculty research assistant Tarek Adhami.

Students Receiving Training and Practicing

Research assistant Adhami commenced the training session by explaining the definition of job description. Stating that job description is an important starting point in the preparation period of job applications, Adhami said that the contents of the CVs and cover letters should be prepared in accordance with the specified job description. Presenting the students with different samples of CVs and cover letters, research assistant Adhami shared detailed information on how to prepare such documents including the page format and the writing style to be used while preparing those documents. Students showed great interest in the training which ended with a practical sessions where students were trained in how to deal with possible obstacles to be encountered during job application processes.
