EMU Signs an Additional Protocol to the Collective Labour Agreement

An additional protocol to the Collective Labour Agreement dated 10 March, 2021 has been signed between the Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) and EMU Personnel Union (PER-SEN) on Monday, 16 May 2022, at 10:00 am at the EMU Board of Trustees Meeting Room.

Signed by the President of the Board of Trustees Dr. Erdal Özcenk and President of EMU PER-SEN Erdal Altun, the said protocol aims to provide additional payment to the personnel who have been serving for many years in scope of EMU Revolving Fund Services and, thus, to support them in the present period of economic crisis.

In the statements made before the protocol signing ceremony, President of EMU PER-SEN Erdal Altun noted that they welcome the additional increase made to the salaries of the Revolving Fund Personnel who have been working hard during this difficult period. Altun also thanked EMU Board of Trustees and the administration for their support. President of EMU Board of Trustees Dr. Erdal Özcenk, on the other hand, emphasized in his statement that as the Board of Trustees, they have adopted an understanding which pays special attention to approach the problems of the employees sensitively. Emphasizing the importance of EMU having a financially sustainable structure, Dr. Özcenk stated that happy employees show higher performance and that the conditions between the Revolving Fund Personnel have been improved with this recent regulation. Dr. Özcenk also wished that the signed protocol would yield positive outcomes to all stakeholders. Also present at the signing ceremony were EMU Board of Trustees members Halil İ. Orun and Ersun Kutup and EMU PER-SEN Executive Board members.
