The 10th International Career Days, organized by the Eastern Mediterranean University Alumni Communications and Career Research Directorate (EMU-MIKA), continued with EMU School of Computing and Technology (SCT). Bringing together the students graduating from the SCT during the 2021-2022 Academic Year Spring Semester and the representatives of construction and related industries, the event titled “First Step Towards Career” was sponsored by the Cyprus Turkish Contractors Association and business professionals who are graduates of EMU SCT. Present at the event were Vice Rector for Social and Cultural Affairs Prof. Dr. Deniz İşçioğlu, EMU SCT Director Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nazife Dimililer and Director of EMU-MİKA Derviş Ekşici.

In a statement made by EMU SCT regarding the event, “Civil Technician, Mapping and Cadastre Technician, Electrical-Electronic Technician, Biomedical Device Technology, Accounting and Tax Applications, Medical Documentation and Office Management, Computer Programming and Information Systems and Technologies programs offer a wide range of education opportunities and train qualified personnel who have mastered the technology, which is the greatest need of our country. In all our programs, we work together with the representatives of the relevant sector and provide up-to-date education that will meet the demand. For this reason, it is very meaningful for us that the Cyprus Turkish Contractors Association, one of the most important sector representatives, is sponsoring our event and that our graduates and valuable business people have contributed to our event. Many activities organized within the framework of career days enabled our students to come together with sector representatives. Seizing this opportunity, we congratulate our graduates who are taking the first step towards their careers.”
“You Have Made the Right Decision by Choosing EMU SCT”
The event commenced with the opening speeches. Speaking at the opening, Event Organization Committee Chair and EMU SCT Academic Staff Member Raygan Kansoy stated that they organized the event to leave good memories for all graduating students before they leave EMU and the island, and thanked all persons and institutions that supported the organization.
EMU SCT Director Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nazife Dimililer also thanked everyone who supported the event and contributed to the organization and stated that the students made the right decision by choosing EMU SCT and became a part of the family. Stating that they will never forget the students who will graduate, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dimililer wished success to all graduates in the future.
EMU Vice Rector for Social and Cultural Affairs Prof. Dr. Deniz İşçioğlu thanked everyone who contributed to the organization and wished the graduating students good luck. After the speeches, the RETRO Instrumentalists took the stage.
