EMU Organises an Appreciation Ceremony for International Students

Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) organized event for the international student communities to thank for their contributions to the university. The event was held by the poolside at EMU Rector’s Office on Thursday, June 10, 2021, at 18:00. EMU Rector Prof. Dr. Aykut Hocanın, Vice Rector for Student Affairs Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Aktuğlu, Vice Rector for Social and Cultural Affairs Assoc. Prof. Dr. Deniz İşçioğlu, Vice Rector for Administrative and Technical Affairs Assoc. Prof. Dr. Serhan Şensoy and representatives of international student associations attended the said event during which the Rector and Vice Rectors visited all the tables one by one and talked with the representatives.

“EMU will Always Provide Support”

Delivering the opening speech of the event, EMU Rector Prof. Dr. Aykut Hocanın stated that after a difficult period of one and a half years, EMU has kept up with the changes and is ready to start face-to-face education in the new term. Prof. Dr. Aykut Hocanın said, “Some of you will graduate. I congratulate you on your success in your studies. We will be holding our graduation ceremony face-to-face on 7-8 July 2021.  EMU is a state university and has a responsibility to provide quality education, research and service to the community. We believe that you have received quality education here and we are confident that you will be successful in whatever profession you pursue in the future. EMU will always support you. Stay in touch with us. I congratulate you for creating a bridge between us and students coming to our university from all over the world. We wanted to thank you, the international student representatives, for your hard work. I hope you have a nice evening".

After the speech, EMU Rector Prof. Dr. Aykut Hocanın presented a plaque and a letter of appreciation to the representatives of international student communities. Then the representatives took a photo with Rector Prof. Dr. Hocanın
