EMU Mechanical Engineering Department Members Provide Training to KTMMOB Members

“The Basics of Energy Management” training was provided to the Chamber of Cyprus Turkish Mechanical Engineers (KTMMO) within the scope of the collaboration between the KTMMO, Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU), Faculty of Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Department, EMU Energy Research Center and, EMU Continuous Education Center.

Within the scope of the 8-hour training session, EMU Mechanical Engineering Department academic staff members Prof. Dr. Uğur Atikol, Prof. Dr. Hasan Hacışevki and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Murat Özdenefe conveyed information to KTMMO active members on topics such as the importance energy management, improvements in old systems used in electricity and lighting, heating, cooling, and ventilation, energy efficiency, energy audits, and economic decisions.

Furthermore, topics such as measurement of thermal transmittance coefficient, use of thermal cameras, thermal environmental conditions and comfort measurement, and usage of energy analyzers were included among the training subjects provided to the members.
