Thank you to Limak Hotel for their Collaboration
Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) Tourism Faculty students who earned the right to receive honor and high-honor certificates for the Fall Semester of the 2018-2019 Academic Year were presented their certificates at a ceremony which took place at the Faculty of Economics and Business Prof. Dr. Mehmet Tahiroğlu Hall. Speaking at the opening of the ceremony, Tourism Faculty Dean Prof. Dr. Hasan Kılıç thanked Limak Hotel General Director Mehmet Mülayim for allowing students to gain weekly work experience at the hotel by signing a protocol that provides students the opportunity to familiarize themselves with work environments. Limak Hotel General Director Mehmet Mülayim expressed his satisfaction regarding presenting students their certificates after indicating that their collaboration with the Tourism Faculty allows students to be prepared for real life scenarios. The first part of the ceremony came to an end after successful students from the Tourism and Hotel Management programs were handed their Honor and High Honor certificates.
Career Advice to Gastronomy Students from famous chef Murat Bozok
The second part of the ceremony, featured a talk delivered by famous chef Murat Bozok, known from television program “Signature Dishes”. During his talk, Bozok spoke about his career, Michelin chefs he has worked with and the difficulties of the profession. Bozok stated that despite being a Business graduate, gastronomy called out to him because of his his love for the profession which has also kept him in this field for so long. The ceremony ended with Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Department students being handed their Honor and High Honor certificates.
