Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) Faculty of Education, Department of Elementary Education academic staff members and students, who commenced their education life at Pre-School Teacher Education Program and Elementary School Teacher Education Program in 2023-2024 Academic Year, got together in an acquaintance event.
Stating that the EMU Faculty of Education, Elementary Education Department annually organizes a “Welcoming” event for the new students of the department, Chair of the Department Prof. Dr. Ayşe Işık Gürşimşek noted that these events play a vital role in students’ adaptation process to the university life.
Opportunities were introduced
Emphasizing that the EMU Faculty of Education, Department of Elementary Education, Pre-School Teacher Education Program is accredited by AQAS, Prof. Dr. Gürşimşek highlighted the opportunities provided by EMU and the Faculty of Education for prospective teachers to acquire contemporary teaching competencies required by the era.
In the event which was held within a friendly-atmosphere, faculty members conveyed important messages to the students about the teaching profession and opportunities for self-improvement at EMU. Meanwhile, students found answers to various questions on different topics.
Department of Elementary Education Student Handbook and brochures prepared by EMU Psychological Counseling, Guidance and Research Center (EMU-PDRAM) were presented to the new students of the department.
