EMU Center for Healthy Living Supports Community Health

A series of foot pressure, sense, muscle strength and balance evaluations targeted towards Kyrenia Ada Lions and Famagusta Lions Club members were carried out by Eastern Mediterranean University , Faculty of Health Sciences, Center for Healthy Living, Prosthesis and Orthesis Unit.

During the evaluations which were carried out to raise awareness regarding the importance of diabetic feet, one of the major risks caused by diabetics, EMU Faculty of Health Sciences Acting Dean Prof. Dr. Mehtap Malkoç, Vice Dean and Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Department Vice Chair Assist. Prof.  Dr. Ender Angın and Prosthesis and Orthesis Unit manager Assist. Prof. Dr. Yasin Yurt provided detailed information to individuals with diabetics including Famagusta Kale Lions Chair Seval Kirişoğlu, Kyrenia Ada Lions Club Chair Alev Ulubay, Mehmetçik Karpaz 100. Yıl Lions Club Public Relations and Press Director Osman Zorlu and EMU academic staff member and Lions Club member Mustafa Erbilen.

During the upcoming period, EMU Faculty of Health Sciences will provide training on diabetics and possible preventive measures.
