Academic Attache of the Embassy of Libya Dr. Abdülatif M. A. Latif paid a visit to Eastern Mediterranean University Rector Prof. Dr. Necdet Osam. Further enhancement of existing collaborations, Libyan students and the solidarity between Libya and Eastern Mediterranean University were the topics of discussion during the meeting which took place on Tuesday, 12 January 2016.
Expressing EMU’s readiness and willingness for development, EMU Rector Prof. Dr. Necdet Osam stated EMU’s mission as the delivery of high quality study opportunities to students and bringing up elite graduates who possess careers at high levels in their countries. During the meeting, Vice Rector for Promotion Prof. Dr. Hasan Amca provided information about faculties, accreditations, student profile and educational system.
Dr. Abdülatif M. A. Latif provided information about the educational system in Libya and expressed his happiness in visiting EMU. At the end of the visit at which Vice Rector for Financial Affairs Prof. Dr. Salih Katırcıoğlu was also present, Prof. Dr. Osam presented Dr. Latif a frame made of Lefkara lace to mark his visit to EMU.
During the same day, Dr. Abdülatif M. A. Latif had the opportunity to meet Libyan students studying in EMU. During the meeting, students provided information about their lives in Famagusta.
