Social Media and Communication (YMGA103)

This course aims to familirase students with the fundamental concepts, issues, genres and technologies of digital communication. Hands-on web, audio, video and photography assignments are used to critically analyze contemporary communication issues. Students will also examine social media histories, theories, and practitioners. The course also examines how technology influences and mediates human communication. The course also examines how technology influences and mediates human communication, and surveys current social media applications to critically assess their effect on society and organizations.
