Turkish Republic Sakarya Serdivan Mayor Yusuf Alemdar and a group of officials visited Eastern Mediterranean University Rector Prof. Dr. Abdullah Y. Öztoprak. Former member of the parliament from the National Unity Party Ahmet Çaluda accompanied the mayor during his visit.
During the visit Alemdar expressed his pleasure in visiting both the TRNC where he fulfilled his military service and EMU. EMU Rector Prof. Dr. Öztoprak thanked the mayor and his officials for the visit and provided information regarding the recent developments and accreditations in EMU. Stressing the fact that EMU is a multicultural and international university, Prof. Dr. Öztoprak provided information on the campus and infrastructural facilities, number of students and academics, faculties and programs.
