Digital Transformation Electronics Associate Program (Turkish) (A.D., 2 Years)

The Digital Transformation Electronics Program, offered by Eastern Mediterranean University, aims to train students as future digital transformation specialists through the university’s strong academic foundation and vision. This program ensures that graduates are equipped not only with theoretical knowledge but also with practical skills.

General Information

The Digital Transformation Electronics Program at Eastern Mediterranean University is designed to meet the rapidly growing demand in the fields of digital transformation and electronics. In parallel with Turkey, the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus has seen rapid development in electronic ID card systems, traffic monitoring, e-Health applications such as e-Nabız and the Central Physician Appointment System, as well as IoT-based applications encouraged by the Smart Cities Strategy and Action Plan, including traffic control, waste management, and smart grids. Furthermore, autonomous systems, digital communication, and electronic warfare projects led by companies such as ASELSAN, HAVELSAN, and ROKETSAN highlight the need for specialized personnel in this field. In this context, graduates of our program will have wide career opportunities.

Education

The Digital Transformation Electronics Associate Degree Program is approved by the Council of Higher Education of the Republic of Turkey (YÖK) and the Higher Education Planning, Evaluation, Accreditation, and Coordination Council of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (YÖDAK). Educational activities are conducted in accordance with national higher education standards. The program is structured to meet the standards of both countries and aims to graduate qualified professionals recognized nationally and internationally.

Facilities

The program offers strong physical infrastructure to provide students with practical training opportunities. In addition to classrooms, the institution hosts 13 computer laboratories equipped with approximately 200 computers, creating a broad digital learning environment. These labs provide opportunities for individual and group work, internet access, and up-to-date software. Supporting facilities such as the library, guidance and counseling units, cafeteria, social activity areas, and health services further contribute to students’ academic development. Each student is provided with an institutional email address upon registration and has access to 24/7 internet-enabled study areas.

Educational Objectives

Aligned with the vision of the Digital Transformation Electronics Program, the educational objectives are as follows:

  • Education and Training: Provide students with theoretical knowledge and practical skills in digital systems, embedded electronics, automation, IoT, data analytics, and communication technologies, enabling them to apply digital transformation principles effectively in industrial settings.
  • Laboratory and Practice: Offer laboratory and project-based opportunities with modern equipment, simulation tools, and software platforms to bridge theoretical knowledge with real-world applications.
  • Internships and Industry Collaboration: Develop internships and industry partnerships that allow students to observe digital transformation applications, gain sectoral experience, and follow technological developments.
  • Continuous Development: Keep the curriculum updated in line with evolving industry standards and technologies, ensuring students receive education that meets current and future workforce needs.

Learning Outcomes

Graduates of the program are expected to achieve the following competencies:

  1. Gain advanced knowledge and skills in electronic circuit design, analysis, and application.
  2. Develop proficiency in software development, embedded systems, and artificial intelligence applications.
  3. Specialize in next-generation communication technologies and network protocols.
