About Faculty

Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences is the newest and most dynamic faculty at Eastern Mediterranean University, established in 2025. We're proud to be a pioneering educational institution dedicated to meeting the rapidly evolving needs of the digital age and nurturing the technology leaders of tomorrow. Our mission is to educate information technology professionals who possess global standards of knowledge and skills, think innovatively, adhere to ethical values, and contribute positively to society. Our vision is to be a nationally and internationally recognized faculty in the field of information sciences, leading scientific advancements through our research and driving digital transformation through strong industry collaborations.

Our faculty offers comprehensive undergraduate and graduate programs that focus on the most current and critical areas of the information world. Our four-year undergraduate programs include Information Technology, available in both Turkish and English; Information Security Technology (in English), designed to address the growing security needs of the cyber world; and Data Science and Analytics (in English), which teaches how to delve into big data and extract meaningful insights. At the graduate level, we offer Thesis and Non-Thesis Master's programs in Information Technology (in English) for those wishing to advance their expertise in the IT field. These programs equip our students with both theoretical knowledge and practical applied skills, fully preparing them for the competitive professional landscape.

Our curriculums deeply explore shaping fields of today and tomorrow, such as artificial intelligence, data science, cybersecurity, software development, cloud computing, mobile technologies, and advanced network technologies. Our students have the opportunity to develop practical projects in our state-of-the-art laboratories, guided by our competent and experienced academic staff. These laboratories are specially designed to transform theoretical knowledge into practice, foster creativity, and encourage students to find solutions to real-world problems. Our faculty places great emphasis on scientific research and development activities, aiming to produce innovative projects that contribute to the world of information technology, in collaboration with our faculty members and students.

To continuously enhance our educational quality to international standards, we place great importance on accreditation processes in collaboration with leading accreditation bodies such as ASIIN and EuroINF quality seal. Furthermore, we offer various international collaborations and exchange programs to provide our students with a global perspective and opportunities to gain international experience. Our students also have the chance to broaden their interests and specialize in different disciplines through double major programs. We are committed to fostering a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
