The Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) Communication Faculty, Department of Public Relations and Advertising has started a campaign to aid cancer patients under the guidance of the EMU Community Involvement Centre. 20 TL donations made to the “One Donation One Hope” campaign will provide hope to child cancer patients. Within the scope of the campaign organized for the Nicosia Dr. Burhan Nalbantoğlu State Hospital Child Oncology and Haematology Service and the Kemal Saraçoğlu Foundation for Children with Leukemia and Fight Against Cancer a solidarity concert will be held at the EMU Atatürk Square. The concert will commence at 18:00 on the 19th of December 2019.
The “One Donation One Hope” campaign aims to raise approximately 120,000 TL via donations, ticket sales, stands and sponsors. Volunteer EMU academic staff and students will be trying to provide hope for children by purchasing tickets for the “One Donation One Hope” campaign. The proceeds will go to the Nicosia Dr. Burhan Nalbantoğlu State Hospital Child Oncology and Haematology Service and the Kemal Saraçoğlu Foundation for Children with Leukemia and Fight Against Cancer. Entrance to the solidarity concert will be free of charge and feature our country’s valuable artists and groups such as Grup Rast, Oğulcan Başarı, Passnote, Voice of Cyprus, Dilara Ferit, Desibel, Grup Otantik, DJ Haşim Volkan, DJ Bouncer and DJ Ümit Akdeniz.

A statement by the EMU Communication Faculty indicates: “As EMU tries to provide a ray of hope for our children we need the support of you our beloved community. You can provide support by purchasing a ticket or by making a donation to our bank account “DOĞU AKDENİZ ÜNİVERSİTESİ (BİR BAĞIŞ, BİR UMUT)” via the ACCOUNT NO: 11-304-6206267 and UBAN NO: CT16 1200 0011 0000 0000 0052 4179.” Tickets can be procured from the EMU Communication Faculty, Department of Public Relations and Advertising, the EMU Social and Cultural Activities Directorate, the Municipality of Famagusta Thursday Market, Rioverde Famagusta, Caffe Pascucci Famagusta or the Rüstem Bookstore.
