Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU), Social and Cultural Activities Directorate, Student Clubs Unit hosted Ötüken Special Education School on the occasion of 21 March – World Down Syndrome Awareness Day. EMU Fenerbahçe Fan Club, Theatre Society, Idea and Debate Club, Psychology Students Club, Psychologic Counselling and Guidance Club, Children’s Rights Club and Folkdance Society contributed to the event within the leadership of the Special Education Club. The event took place on Thursday, 21 March 2024 between 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 a.m. at EMU Atatürk Square.
EMU students gathered together wearing colorful socks and carried out various activities such as face painting, banner painting, games and dances for the guests from Ötüken Special Education School. EMU Folkdance Society performed Zeybek and Roman dances, attracting great interest from the audience. The students of Ötüken Special Education School had joyful time during the event.
