EMU - PDRAM Organised a Workshop at SOS Children's Village

Eastern Mediterranean University Psychological Counseling, Guidance and Research Center (EMU – PDRAM) organised a workshop entitled “Children’s Rights at Home, School and within the Community: Protect, Be Aware, Know and Apply.

Organised upon the demand of the SOS Children’s Village National Directorate, the 10-hour workshop was targeted towards 25 staff members who are employed at various units at the SOS Children’s Village.

During the first day of the workshop, the participants received information on the concept of childhood, and the effects of different environments during the childhood period and development. On the second day of the event,  the participants took part in “Children’s Rights and the SOS Foundation” focused activities both on individual basis and as a group. The workshop which aimed to provide information on protecting, being aware of, knowing and applying children’s rights in an integrated environment was delivered by EMU– PDRAM chair Prof. Dr. Biran Mertan, EMU – PDRAM psychiatrists and EMU – PDRAM research assistants.
