EMU Faculty of Education’s Dean Prof. Dr. Ahmet Pehlivan Selected as TDK Communication Member

Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU), Faculty of Education’s Dean Prof. Dr. Ahmet Pehlivan has recently been selected as a member of the Turkish Language Association (TDK) Communication Membership upon the decision by the Board of Directors following a meeting held at the TDK headquarters in Ankara. TDK Communication Membership consists of a group of people who have significantly contributed to promoting the Turkish language and culture worldwide.

In a statement released by EMU regarding the TDK Communication Membership appointment of Prof. Dr. Ahmet Pehlivan, it was highlighted that this selection is a significant source of pride for both the EMU community and the academic world. The statement also conveyed best wishes to Prof. Dr. Pehlivan for success in his new role.

TDK Communication Members

TDK Communication Members are individuals who contribute to the advancement and preservation of the Turkish language, engage in linguistic research, and promote Turkish culture. They are selected from prominent scientists and experts who are recognized nationally and internationally, particularly those who have made significant contributions in Turkish-speaking countries and regions where Turkish is widely spoken. The term for a communication member is five years, and they may be re-elected after their term ends. Communication members are chosen based on the decision of the Scientific Board, recommendation of the Institution’s President, and the approval of the Board of Directors.
