Organised by Eastern Mediterranean University, a series of workshops targeted towards TRNC high school students took place on EMU campus on Monday, 23 March 2015. Within the framework of the workshops which attracted around 1000 high school students, students participated in activities taking place at academic units of their preference.
Depending on their choices for their prospective careers or fields of study, students attended a workshop at relevant faculties with academic staff between 9:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. Social Media and Security, 3 D Autocad and Small-Scale Project Application, Animation Techniques and Applications, I Design My Own Site (Website Design), I Shoot My Own Video Activity, Learning Management Systems Application (Computer / Internet Based Learning Management Systems), Desktop Publishing Applications (Adobe In-Design, Publisher, Adobe Illustration Application), Let’s Create a Brand Together, Citizen Journalism, TV Program Shooting, Shooting Films at Virtual Sites, Basics of Electromagnetics and Electrostatics, Robotic Production and Human Productivity, Website Design, Human Rights, Medicine Synthesis and Analysis, DNA Isolation from Epitel Cells, Investigating the Working Areas of DNA through PCR Management, Culinary Arts Applications, Healthy Nutrition, Basic First-aid Application, Evaluation of Dynamic Balance, Design from Paper, Black Market Games and Breast Examination / Heart Monitoring / Parasite Analysis at Microscope were among the 22 topics of workshops attended by students.
