The numbers of Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) students are constantly growing and next semester, students will be greeted with a lively and colourful dormitory life.
In a statement made by the Dormitories and Cafeterias Directorate, EMU dormitory sanitation, nutrition, transportation and security have all been improved and have added options for students to be able to choose rooms away from the hustle and bustle of city life and noise. Student can access all facilities of the university within the campus with ease. The directorate also underlined the importance of choosing EMU dormitories due to the new and improved technological possibilities within the secure limits of the University.
When EMU dormitories are compared to others around the world, it is apparent that EMU holds standards quiet high. EMU has approximately 6000 beds along few other dormitories within the campus.
Dormitories provide safety and security for students and increase their adaptation rate.
Accommodation is a strong factor in a students’ university life. EMU has 5 dormitories on campus, a Turkish Republic Credit Dormitory Institution as well as 6 other private dormitories. The dormitories are custom tailored for students’ budgets where they can choose from 1, 2, 3 or 4 person dormitories.
Statistics also show that students living in dormitories have a higher success rate at the university as opposed to ones who reside in homes outside the university.
