Within the scope of the Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) 27th Spring Festival events, the award-winning and sold-out theatre play of Istanbul State Theatre titled “Profesyonel / Professional” will be performed in Northern Cyprus.
Written by world renowned Serbian author Duşan Kovaçevic, the dark comedy explores the socio-political order before and after the Yugoslavian transformation, told through the life story of an intellectual. Attracting great interest over the past 16 years, the said pay offers the audience a thought-provoking yet entertaining experience with its ironic narrative.
The production features performances by Yetkin Dikinciler, Bülent Emin Yarar, Gülen Çehreli, and Cenap Oğuz, under the direction of esteemed theatre artist Işıl Kasapoğlu.
The “Profesyonel” play will meet with EMU students during a special session to be held on Thursday, 15 May 2025 at 06:00 p.m. at Rauf Raif Denktaş Culture and Congress Center. On Friday, 16 May 2025 at 07:00 p.m. the play will once again performed, open to the participation of all members of the society.
