Rauf Raif Denktas Culture and Congress Center
The 4th edition of Gülsin Onay Piano Festival will be organized in collaboration between Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) and the Cyprus Polyphonic Choirs Association (CPCA), on 5-6-7 December 2025 at Rauf Raif Denktaş Culture and Congress Center. To be held in memory of late trumpet artists Gökmen Noyan, the festival will bring together distinguished jury members, guest artists and educators.
Opening Concert on Friday – 5 December 2025
The opening concert of the festival will take place on Friday, 5 December 2025 at 08:00 p.m., featuring world-renowned pianist Gülsin Onay will perform accompanied by the Presidency Symphony Orchestra of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. On Saturday, 6 December 2025, guest artists of the festival will take the stage to share their performances.
Two Events in One: Festival and Competition
The event consists of two main sections: the Festival and the Competition. The Festival section provides stage experience for beginners or amateur pianists of all ages, while the Competition section offers a dedicated platform for professional pianists, who will be evaluated according to age categories.
Piano Workshops to be held
Gülsin Onay, Eser Öktem and Tayfun İlhan will carry out piano workshops as part of the festival program. On Saturday, 6 December 2025 at 06:00 p.m., Alper Remzi Aydın will deliver a seminar titled “Piano ile Yaşam Boyu Gelişim”. On the same day, at 07:30 p.m., a concert by Aeterna Trio will offer music lovers an unforgettable evening. This special event, where art and education come together, aims to inspire young talents and celebrate the cultural richness of Cyprus through music.
