A comprehensive project team meeting was held within the scope of “The Role of Memory–Identity Association in Shaping Intergroup Attitudes” project supported by TÜBİTAK-1001 program and conducted under the Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU), Faculty of Arts and Sciences. Said project is coordinated by EMU Department of Psychology academic staff member Assist. Prof. Dr. Burcu Kaya Kızılöz with Prof. Dr. Şenel Hüsnü Raman, Assist. Prof. Dr. Ayşenur Talat Zrilli, and Assist. Prof. Dr. Şerif Türkkal Yenigüç contributing as researchers.
During the team meeting, all members of the project came together with the participation of Dr. Pınar Kurdoğlu Ersoy, who serves as a postdoctoral researcher on the project, and Prof. Dr. Ali İzzet Tekcan from Özyeğin University, who acts as the project advisor. The meeting was also attended by Aemel İmran, Research Assistant in the EMU Department of Psychology, who serves as the project assistant.
Data data obtained within the scope of the project were examined in detail and the analytical processes were thoroughly reviewed. While evaluating the current findings of the study, recommendations aimed at enhancing the effectiveness of the project were discussed in line with the outcomes obtained. In addition, strategic planning for the subsequent stages of the research was carried out, and views were exchanged on potential future academic studies, publications, scientific events, and possible new collaborations.
At the conclusion of the highly productive meeting, important decisions were taken to further strengthen the project’s scientific contribution. The project team emphasized that the findings have the potential to make meaningful contributions both to the academic literature and to societal discussions on identity and intergroup relations.
