English for Mass Communication (COM 233)

A basic introduced to the specialized language of communication and mass communication studies that focuses on methods and techniques for communicating ideas through the written spoken word. Incorporating various texts and readings drawn from the curriculum of the Faculty, students are familiarized with the language of mass communication as it takes form in the fields of journalism, radio-television and film and public relations and advertising. Theory and practice are combined as students explore ways to effectively communicate their knowledge in various genres that include essays, newsletter articles, speeches, and debate.
