Early Childhood Literature (OOEG316)

Development of children's literature in the world and in Turkey; the importance of increasing thinking skills and sensitivitiy with quality children's books and raising individuals who have acquired a reading culture. The function of literary works; features that should be found in children's literature works (design,content and educational) analysis with examples; demonstration of unqualified children's books with examples and discussing their negative effects on children's development; the suitability of the books that the teacher candidates read-reviewed for children according to their age groups and studies to determine which development of children will contribute; examples of various children literary genres (epic, fairy tale, poem, short story, novel, etc.) and linguistic materials that address (rhyme, rhyme, riddle, etc.) to determine the contribution of children and to their development.
