Travel Advice During Coronavirus Pandemic

Dear Students and Staff,

We are closely monitoring the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. As the situation continues to change rapidly, top priority remains the health, safety, and well-being of our community.

Travel Advice for Students, Faculty Members and Staff

Travel can increase the risks of exposure to COVID-19. Government restrictions and public health measures are changing fast. Keep in mind that travelling pose a health risk in terms of mass gathering. According to decisions of TRNC Council of Ministers, persons who return to island until 1st of April, will be required to self-isolate in their residences for a period of 14 days following their entry to the country. The Ministry of Health, in accordance with the Law on Communicable Diseases, will take all necessary measures as regards those who fail to abide by this requirement.

Therefore, we urge you not to travel, avoid crowds and stay at your current home until the risk level decreases.

All the latest decisions of the TRNC Council of Ministers can be followed in Turkish and English at the TRNC Deputy Prime Ministry’s and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/KKTCDisisleri / )
