EMU CEC’s Computer Course Commences

Eastern Mediterranean University Continuing Education Center’s (EMU-CEC) computer courses for adults commenced on 24 February 2014. Organised by EMU-CEC in collaboration with School of Computing and Technology, the courses are being delivered by academicians with extensive expertise on IT. The courses which will be delivered between 5:00 p.m. anbd 7:00 p.m. on Monday and Wednesday will cover topics such as Microsoft Office Word, Microsoft Office Excel, Microsoft Office PowerPoint, Internet Applications and Mobile Device Usage.

In his speech which took place before the commencement of the course, EMU Public Relations and Press Office Director and EMU-CEC Coordinator Derviş Ekşici wished all participants success and also stressed out the importance of technology in today’s world.  

At the end of the course, the participants will gain experience in Microsoft Office applications as well as the effective use of internet browser and search engines, secure information exchange in social networks, and effective use of the Internet media. At the end of the 40-hour course, the participants will receive certificates of success or certificates of participation following an exam assessing their success from the course.
