EMU Industrial Engineering Club Organised a “Case Study Competition”

Eastern Medıterranean University Engineering Faculty, Industrial Engineering Department Student Club (IE – Club) successfully organised a “Case Study Competition”, one of the most important organisations of the Industrial Engineering Community Association (IECA).

The Industrial Engineering Community Association provides a platform bringing together the Industrial Engineering student clubs and communities both within the Republic of Turkey and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. Having the quality of being the largest student community of Turkey, IECA houses the memberships of a total of 15 universities’ Industrial Engineering student clubs.

EMU Industrial Engineering Student Club is the only organisation in Cyprus which holds membership in the European Students of Industrial Engineering and Management.

In the local eliminations of the Industrial Engineering Community Association Case Study Competition which took place in EMU, Industrial Engineering and Business Engineering 3rd and 4th year undergraduate students took part in the competition in groups consisting of 4 members.

The competition jury formed by EMU academic staff members Assoc. Prof. Dr. Orhan Korhan, Assist. Prof. Dr.  Sahand Daneshvar, Assist. Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Güden and Senior Instructor Bakiye Yalınç selected Kübra Uzun, Cansu Eren Akman, Ozan Sadioğlu and Berdan Bircan’s group as the winner. The winner group will represent EMU in half finals in Turkey.

During the course of the competition, EMU Industrial Engineering Student Club members’ support towards the participating students and jury members deserve appreciation.
