Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) Rector Prof. Dr. Hasan Kılıç issued a message for new graduates on the occasion of 2025-2026 Academic Year Fall Semester Postgraduate, Undergraduate and Associate Degree Graduation Ceremony which will be held on Friday, 30 January 2026 at 02:00 p.m.
Stressing that Eastern Mediterranean University continues to share its strong academic heritage and universal approach to education to all corners of the world through its ever-increasing number of graduates, Prof. Dr. Kılıç said, “We are experiencing the pride of graduating 163 master’s and doctoral students and, over 700 associate and undergraduate students during the the 2025–2026 Academic Year Fall Semester”.
Highlighting that EMU instills its students not only with academic knowledge, but also with the sense of universal responsibility and a multi-cultural perspective, Prof. Dr. Kılıç added, “While representing their own success stories, each of our graduates will also represent the academic quality, scientific strength, and universal values of Eastern Mediterranean University. I sincerely believe that the knowledge, experience, and competencies our students have gained throughout their university education will give them a competitive edge in their professional lives”.
Prof. Dr. Kılıç further stated that EMU ranks among a select number of universities worldwide in the field of internationalization, emphasizing that students gain valuable life experiences by studying alongside individuals from diverse cultures. Moreover, he noted, “Our students graduate not only with a diploma, but also with lifelong friendships, a multidimensional perspective, and a strong sense of belonging. Wherever they may be in the world, they will always feel the privilege of being EMU graduates”.
“Keep Contributing to Humanity”
Touching on the importance of life-long learning in a rapidly changing world, Prof. Dr. Kılıç addressed the graduates, “Every challenge you encounter is also a new opportunity for learning and personal growth. Continue to improve yourselves, keep up with innovations, and keep contributing to humanity. The knowledge, experience, and practical skills you have gained throughout your education at EMU, together with the friendships you have formed that will last a lifetime, will make significant contributions to both your personal lives and your professional careers. Each challenge you face in your professional life will present you with new opportunities for learning and development. Never forget to make time for yourselves within your professional lives. As EMU, we will continue to take pride in the achievements of each and every one of our graduates”.
Concluding his remarks by expressing his gratitude to the graduates and their families, Prof. Dr. Hasan Kılıç stated, “I sincerely congratulate all of our graduates and extend my thanks to their families who have supported them in reaching this milestone, as well as to our academic and administrative staff whose efforts made this achievement possible. May the paths of our graduates be open and their success enduring”.
