This course is designed to cover the topics about the benefits of Cloud Computing, the technology and architecture of Cloud computing, the scalability and manageability of Cloud computing, design principles for building large network-based systems to support both compute and data intensive computing across geographically distributed infrastructure in Cloud Computing, resource management, programming models, application models, system characterizations, and implementations in Cloud Computing, introduction to the nowadays Cloud Computing Systems such as Amazon EC2 and S3, Microsoft Azure, Google AppEngine, Eucalyptus, Nimbus, OpenStack, Google's MapReduce, Yahoo’s Hadoop, Microsoft’s Dryad, Sphere/Sector, and the expected future of the Cloud Computing Systems. The lab applications require experience in programming PHP, HTML, CSS, and MySQL.
