Web Programming - I (BTBS233)

This course focuses on the client-side of web-application development. The course provides an overview of the history and the development of the Internet and World Wide Web. It is an introduction to the technologies and tools used for programming the web. Key topics include HyperText Markup Language (HTML5) - as the standard language of the web, Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) – for styling the web (controlling the presentation and layout of HTML elements), and JavaScript – as the most popular language for client-side scripting for making web pages interactive and dynamic. Upon completion of the course, students will have acquired the fundamental web development tools and skills necessary to implement interactive web sites.
