Human-Computer Interaction and Design (BTBS116)
The purpose of this course is to provide students with an understanding of human computer interaction concepts and theories. It mainly focuses on how human perceives and interacts with computers. Students will learn the basic multimedia elements namely text, sound, image, video, animation, and learn how to sew these elements together to produce a multimedia project using the current computer technology. It is also designed to provide students with the knowledge of the hardware/software and file types involved in multimedia technology. Upon successful completion of the course, students will become aware of a great variety of interaction techniques, and also acquire the ability to apply the correct principles in the process of designing graphical user interfaces and gain experience of some commercially used multimedia software; develop good-quality multimedia products.
