Students of EMU Visual Arts and Visual Communication Design Department at İstanbul Graphic Design Days

Rinat Abdrahmanov and Naif El Zaben from the Visual Arts Club operating under Eastern Mediterranean University Social and Cultural Activities Directorate successfully represented both their department and Eastern Mediterranean University at Grafist 19 – İstanbul Graphic Design Days.

Abdrahmanov and Naif El Zaben took part in various workshops and exhibited their work in an exhibition taking place within the framework of Istanbul Design Days. İstanbul Graphic Design Week is an educational activity organized annually since 1997 by Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University, Fine Arts Faculty, Graphic Design Department. Grafist is an organization endorsed by ICO-D International Council of Design, which Eastern Mediterranean University, Visual Arts and Visual Communication Design Department is also a member of. Grafist is organized with the collaboration of GMK, the Turkish Society of Graphic Designers. The purpose of Grafist is to create a context for the interactive sharing of works and their outcomes through the provision of a joint platform where the graphic designers and students evaluate and discuss their design criteria and visions through activities like seminars, workshops and exhibitions.  

Grafist 19 hosted renowned names including Peter Bruger, Ferhad Fozouni, Umut Südüak, Andreas Uebele and Carolin Himmel.
